Mr. Janiczek was born and raised in the Chicago area, neighborhoods where family, faith, community values and family business have flourished for generations. It was the kind of place where—despite being a heavily populated urban city—everyone knew the local banker, grocer, baker, butcher and doctor. Relationships and integrity were the cornerstones to every business transaction. This is the root of his unique style of building relationships and businesses.

Mr. Janiczek, whose father built nuclear power plants and oil refineries—structures that must be built to last and able to weather extreme conditions—was raised in a "stronger is better" way of looking at life, which rubbed off on him. In fact, he was so fascinated by business, finance and opportunities to create stronger/better products, that he founded his own oil company at age 17 and went on to create the first conventional motor oil designed for annual oil changes.

Mr. Janiczek's education included undergraduate studies emphasizing finance at the American College; a Master’s of Science in Financial Services (MSFS); and Graduate Certificates of Specialty in Asset Management and Income and Estate Taxation. He is also a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He credits the combination of his early business experience and his formal education (which he financed from his business earnings) as a powerful learning duo. This experience has enabled him to approach the investment, retirement and wealth management industry from a unique perspective that blossomed into what the company is today.

Recognizing that financially successful individuals were greatly underserved by the investment industry, Mr. Janiczek pioneered an investment, retirement and wealth management organization with three unique characteristics: 1) Fee-only (no commissions, no selling/representing products); 2) Fiduciary (required to do what is in the best interest of the client); and 3) Full-Breadth (integrating investment, retirement, financial, tax and estate planning and management together). Mr. Janiczek has been involved in many boards including serving on the Board of Governors of Legatus International; President of a Rotary International Club and Foundation; a Director of the Spitzer Center for Ethical Leadership; and Trustee and Investment Chair of the Catholic Foundation. Joseph and his wife, Mary, have two adult children and one very active and smart Jack Russell Terrier.
